Of Bulls & Bears
The institutional investors may have pumped some life into the equity markets in the past few months but it remains to be seen whether the fundamentals of the economy support the current equity valuations. In a bull market, people are willing to pay a higher price whereas in a bear market, the reverse is true. So, when Tata Steel had hit rock bottom of Rs 140 (approx), there were few takers for it and now it is quoting around Rs 490. The same with L&T which dipped below Rs 600 only to bounce back to Rs 1,400 levels.
